Closing the gap
The pupil premium is a sum of additional funding that is linked to the number of pupils on roll that are from lower income families. This funding is used to provide support for all those who require it, ensuring they have a good chance of achieving well in Reading, Writing and Maths.
Most funding is invested in highly skilled staff, who deliver focused teaching programmes as well as to provide a wide range of resources.
Additionally, funding is provided to support pupil premium funded pupils in attending residential trips, or learning a musical instrument.
